Double Duty: Shared Home Office + Guest Room

Home offices can be tricky, especially when it’s a shared space with multi-functional needs. Not only is this a shared space, but this office has to do double duty as a guest room when needed. To meet all of these requirements, I designed an entire wall of carpentry for storage and incorporated a queen-sized Murphy bed that comes down easily for guests. The office features a whole gallery wall of paintings that the family members made or purchased at art shows. There is one long desk at the end for 2 people to work at simultaneously without feeling compromised for space. The center table functions as a decorative centerpiece in the room, or extra work space for other family members if needed.
