A Secret Garden + Main Entry

Creating this garden was such a special experience. It’s our main entry and leads straight to the front door of our home. Mainly- I wanted it to feel like you stepped into a secret, magical garden- even if all you are dong is coming to the front door because- why not?! Brining in groups of plants was instrumental in creating these pockets of the garden, but we had to buy mostly all new pots so it would feel cohesive. However, the biggest change came with the new tiles. These were custom-made and I have to say- wow! They are so spectacular and unique. Their beautiful shape and organic pattern really made this entry garden go from zero to hero! Another personal touch I added was the mosaic quote in the entry. That came from Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. It was something I identified with deeply and it was only fitting to hire an artist to create that mosaic plaque for us. Now when guests come to our home, they are greeted by this unexpected, secret, magical garden and the comments are endless. I love spending time there with a cup of tea surrounded by beautiful plants and tiles. It really is that magical!
