A Luxurious Primary Bedroom Retreat

I love how this one turned out! The transformation in this bedroom was truly incredible. The clients kept saying they could not believe it. They felt they had checked into a luxury hotel! Design-wise, the first thing to be addressed was the paint. Choosing a neutral tone to bring down the tones in the floor (which the clients could not change at that time) was important. Next, we tackled the rug. I chose an indoor/outdoor rug as this bedroom has a sliding door to the back yard as well. The tones in the rug brought in the tones in the tile around it, but I went with the dark grey background in the rug to tone down the rust color in the tiles. For the beautiful headboard- I chose a deep, velvet mossy green to match up with the blinds behind the bed on either side and give that luxurious hotel feeling we were going for. Elevating the headboard off the floor made the room feel so much more important and elegant. Lastly- I brought in some art work, accessories and neutral drapery. Combined with a few modern touches such as the bench in front of the bed and the dark grey fluted nightstands, the space felt just right. Clients are happy and I had an amazing time designing it.
