2-Tone Contemporary Kitchen

Project Type

Interior Design

This kitchen is a masterclass in how thoughtful design choices can completely transform a space, and it all starts with the cabinets. The two-tone cabinet combination is what gives this kitchen its personality and visual interest. Pairing two distinct finishes creates that layered, intentional look that feels curated rather than cookie-cutter, and it immediately draws the eye in the best possible way.

The light aqua on the wall was a deliberate choice and one of my favorites in this space. It strikes that perfect balance between feminine and masculine, soft and strong. It adds color and warmth without overwhelming the room, and it plays beautifully off both cabinet tones to keep everything feeling cohesive.

The glass pantry was a practical decision that doubled as a design win. In a kitchen with limited square footage, visual openness is everything. Glass keeps the space feeling airy and expansive rather than boxed in and it adds a touch of elegance that a solid door simply couldn't achieve here.

And then there's the multi-color backsplash, the finishing touch that ties every element together seamlessly. It picks up on all the tones in the space and brings them into one smooth, unified moment.

The result is a kitchen that feels polished, balanced, and completely considered from every angle.
