A Magical Montessori Classroom Makeover

This project was thrown together in almost no time. One of my best friends is a Montessori teacher. My children had gone to school here many years prior and she had taught them, but we remained close friends. She had taken another job for a while somewhere else but had just returned to the school. This time, they gave her a very large classroom with tall ceilings and she had no idea what to do with such a large space. Of course- I jumped at the opportunity! As my teacher friend is French and was teaching the French/English program at the school, my brain was already in Go mode! I came up with a French city-scape them and connected all of the buildings with lights and flags as if there were a festival in a small French town. Wow did this one come out amazing! I was lucky enough to be there the next day when the children started to arrive with their parents and everyone was in awe. The kids stopped in their tracks, wandering around the room with eyes wide open…. Parents coming in with smiles…. That is the best part of my job! Loved doing this for my friend and giving these children such a magical learning experience every day- the best gift I could receive!
